For this level, I created water effects for caustic light reflections, a waterfall, and water ripples.
The caustic reflections were made by animating a light and adding a light cookie. |
The waterfall itself was a mesh I created with a custom animated shader.

The water with ripples were on a rectangular mesh with a custom shader that used both a moving normal map in combination with a shader-generated normal map that was positioned based on outside geometry, located with a script.
